Ellands Farm 27th Sep 2013

Loved being back at Ellands Farm last weekend for their BS show! We had a pole down on the 1m and came 2nd in the 1.05m. Look forward to seeing everyone again in a few weeks. 

Andrew Hamilton lesson at Coillemore

Yesterday, Porsche and I had a show jumping lesson at Coillemore with Andrew Hamilton. It was a beautiful, sunny day so Andrew decided we would jump outside on grass. It was hard work for both horse and rider but great practice to jump on uneven ground. We were both exhausted! Porsche was struggling to keep her eyes open on our journey home! Think we'll need to slim down and get our fitness up before our next session! 

Coillemore have lots on over the next few months. It's a brilliant centre with excellent facilities. Check out their Facebook page for future events.

Blair Horse Trials 2014

Blair Horse Trials 2014, has to be one of the best yet! 

I am so proud of Porsche, who jumped a double clear in the discovery on Friday, finishing in 6th place.

The usual socialising took place, meeting up with friends, new and old! 

Finn loved staying away in the 'bus' and announced that he would like his own pony!

I can't believe it will be another year until we do it all again!

Lemlair working hunter course

I would highly recommend Lemair working hunter course to anyone needing a bit of extra practice. 

Porsche and I have been twice now and each time there has been a different course set up with lots of spooky fillers including sheep, water trays,  mushrooms etc!!

It's also been great practice for jumping on grass and getting used to jumping on uneven ground again, with the build up to Blair Horse Trials. 

Burgie SJ June 2014

Had a really fun day jumping at Burgie today. Clear and 3rd in the 90cm and annoyingly had the last pole down but still managed 4th place in the 1m. 

Hacking is good for the soul!

Sue Carson Dressage saddle

I'm absolutely delighted with my new saddle! I've just purchased a second hand Sue Carson dressage saddle. It's very comfortable and Porsche seems to like it too! 

Sam Turpitt, the Sue Carson rep for the north, fitted the saddle and gave me lots of good advice before and after purchasing it.

Another enjoyable day at Ellands farm, Bs show. Porsche (Corraghoe Emma) won the 90cm and the 1m as well as coming 2nd in the 1.05m, all double clears. Couldn't have asked for more from her!

We've had a good start to 2014 as I passed my trailer test and I'm looking forward to taking Porsche to Coillemore for some training.
